Pokéball crafting

Creating an pokéball

In order to create a new pokeball you need the following things:

  • Ball top piece
  • Ball bottom piece
  • Apricorn
  • Ingredient 1
  • Ingredient 2 (on some recipes)

Ball pieces

The ball pieces you can find in a special pokéball shop for 400 gold each:

  • Kanto: Pokémon Researcher Bill House located on Route 25
  • Hoenn: House in Dewford Town

An other way to get them is by killing certain pokémon:

  • Voltorb
  • Electrode

Apricorns

Apricorn can be obtained by:

  • Collecting them on certain tree's
  • Killing pokémon located arround the tree area (mostly pokémon that like fruit)

Ingredients

The Ingredients are mostly obtained by killing certain pokemon and varries based on the ingredient that is required to compleet the recipe.

The skill system

I actualy want to suggest a skill system similar to runescape:

We are working with levels, in order to craft a certain pokéball you need a certain skill level to create them Every ball you craft you gain exp. Ones you reach a certain amount of exp you gain a level unlocking a new pokeball you can craft.

The new pokéballs

You can expect a lot of existing pokéballs from other generation. However I think in order to make concept a lot more intressting is to also create our own ones. Special pokéball that change the entire way how you catch a pokemon.

Like:

  • Competive Balls (pokéballs that for example max a certain EV for the level when catched it succesfully)
  • Type Balls (pokéballs that have a better catchrate on certain pokémon types, we already have some but I want to increase this list so every type has one)
  • Area Balls (pokéballs that have a better catchrate on cetain area's, again we already have some maybe if we look on higher gens probaly it's covered for all area's)
  • Others (Their are plenty more pokéballs that can be suggested or implement I bet you guys have ideas as well)

A tiny example list

Since it will require a lot of dicussion don't expect this list is flawless but I try it anyway:
